Kewei Chen

KeweiChenProf. Kewei Chen got his Ph.D. Degree in Biomathematics at UCLA 1993. He is currently the Director, senior Scientist and senior Biomathematician, the computational Image Analysis Program, Banner Alzheimer’s Institute (BAI), Banner Health. He also holds adjunct professorships at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Beijing Normal University, Arizona State University and University of Arizona Using and developing neuroimaging analytic/statistical techniques in positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and functional MRI, his main methodological research interests include the tracer kinetic modeling in PET, measuring local and global volume changes using various MRI techniques, brain functional connectivity, and multi-modal data integration. His primary scientific interests have been the studies of human brain functions and diseases, especially Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

Dr. Chen has over 300 peer-reviewed journal publications. He also authored/co-authored over hundreds abstracts, conference proceedings, books and book chapters. Currently, he is involved in multiple research projects as PI, co-PI or key personnel, and he serves as an Academic Editor for PLOS-ONE, co-Editor-in-Chief of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering (NBE, indexed and abstracted in EMBASE, PubsHub and J-Gate), and Associate Editor-in-chief of Chinese Journal《生物医学工程学进展》

陈克伟教授是美国亚利桑那州Banner Alzheimer’s Institute的资深科学家、生物数学家,神经影像数据分析实验室的主任。同时是北京师范大学、上海交通大学的客座教授、研究员,美国亚力桑那州立大学Arizona State University数学和统计学院的兼职教授,美国亚力桑那州立大学University of Arizona,College of Medicine-Phoenix的神经病学系的研究教授。他于1993年在UCLA获得生物数学博士学位. 自2011年,他兼任PLOS ONE杂志的学术编辑,2013年受聘兼任国内《生物医学工程学进展》杂志副主编 (依托单位上海交通大学)并于该年担任新创刊的国际英文杂志Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering (NBE)的两位主编之一.

陈克伟教授的主要研究方向是老年痴呆病,侧重于预防、疾病预测、及其利用神经影像学技术作为有效的药物检测的指标。他是多个项目的PI, co-PI或核心团队成员。他所在的Banner Alzheimer’s Institute (BAI)研究所近期启动了Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative (API)-PS1 计划。 最近, BAI又获得了NIH对API-APOE4的资助. 陈克伟教授是两个项目的核心成员。 陈克伟教授有多于300余篇peer reviewed
